Sell Your Car With Us – Choose Your Sales Option

With AutoPlan Car Sales, you can sell your car quickly and easily. You decide how much time you want to spend on the preparations by choosing between our Basic or Full Service options.

Basic

If you choose our Basic service, you are responsible for having the inspection report, purchase offer, and photos ready before submitting your sales request. The purchase offer with inspection report is most easily arranged where you are buying your new car.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR SALES ASSIGNMENT:

ARRANGE A PURCHASE OFFER WITH TEST REPORT
You have chosen our Base service. This means that you arrange a valuation with a test report yourself – easiest when buying a new car. If you are not planning to buy a new car, the car must be tested at a dealer for the relevant brand. Remember to specifically ask for a “purchase offer with test”.

TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR CAR
Take photos of your car; from an angle at the front, from an angle at the rear, and of the interior. Also photograph other things you believe may be of interest to a buyer, such as extra equipment, damages, scratches, and similar.

AT THE EARLIEST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE
Arrange the purchase offer with test and submit the sales assignment no earlier than two weeks before the car is to be sold. Otherwise, there is a risk that the purchase offer you arranged will no longer be valid.

IF THE CAR IS DAMAGED
If the car is damaged; fill in and sign the damage report/glass damage report and place it in the glove compartment.

Full Service

If you choose Full Service, you don’t need to value or photograph the car yourself. We take care of all preparations and list your car for sale.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR SALES ASSIGNMENT
You have chosen vehicle sales Full Service. This means that you only need to fill in basic information about your car and where we can collect it, and we at AutoPlan will take care of the rest.

WHEN SHOULD YOU SUBMIT THE SALES ASSIGNMENT?
You can submit your sales assignment as soon as you have decided to sell the vehicle, however no later than one week before the desired sales date.

COST FOR TRANSPORT OF THE VEHICLE?
The price for transport varies depending on where in the country we collect your vehicle.
In case of very high volumes of incoming assignments, we reserve the right to temporarily transport cars to our other depots, even if this entails an increased transport cost, in order to reduce lead times and thereby shorten the total sales time for our client.

I am going to sell my car, how do I do it?
There are two options when selling the car: the Basic service or the Full Service. (check the company's car policy - there may be rules about which service you should choose)

The basic service means that you do "half the work yourself". You arrange a test report and a valuation, usually at the car dealer where you pick up your new car or at a dealer of the current brand. The test report with valuation is attached to the website when you register the sales assignment. Behind the link "Choose car sales Base" is a guide that describes the service.

The full-service service means that we pick up the car by car transport to one of our facilities where we take care of washing, testing and photography. Behind the link "Choose car sales Full service" is a guide that describes the service. Remember to put summer or winter wheels in the car (depending on the season), the spare key, privacy screen and load protection that are usually in the luggage compartment of station wagons. If you have a crack in the windscreen, it is best to have made a glass report, which you can do when you register the full service assignment on our website.

Price difference between Basic and Full Service?
The price difference is the transport cost to our facility and the cost of the full-service service SEK 1,500 + VAT. The transport cost depends on where the car is geographically. Where can I leave the car to the car transporter at full service?
  • You can leave it at the car dealer where you get the new car delivered.
  • At the company where you work.
  • The car can also be picked up at your private home address. (Remember that someone can hand out keys during the day if you are not home yourself)

I have registered my sales assignment exactly what happens now?
Once you have registered the sales assignment, we go through the information and ensure that everything is correct and supplement with information from several sources. If you have chosen the Basic service, the car will be put up for sale at our auction relatively immediately with the auction closing around the availability date you have specified. If you have chosen the full-service service, the transport company will plan pick-up as soon as possible after the availability date. Good to know is that the transport company has five working days to pick up the car from the date you stated that the car is available for pickup.
When is the car picked up?

If the car is sold via the Basic service, the transport will be booked based on your availability date, and when the car is paid for by the buyer. The transport company will send a notification when the car is scheduled for collection.
Can you follow the auction?
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to follow the auctions as only affiliated car dealers have access to the auctions. The auction takes place via a hidden bidding where about 90% of all bids are received during the last auction day, usually between 10-14.

Always check your company’s car policy before ordering this service. The easiest way is to contact your company’s fleet manager, who will also receive a confirmation from us once you have placed the order.
